A wonderful coming together of community on Mercer Island for Andrew, his family, their rabbi & cantor who all travelled from Southern California to join friends & family here. Even the amazing 200-year old Torah, originally from Czechoslovakia, with its exquisite hand-carved wooden shafts, came with them, too, to become part of Andrew’s special day. The warm service was filled with prayers, songs & blessings as Andrew was welcomed as a bar mitzvah.
