Congregation Kol Ami Bar Mitzvah
Congregation Kol Ami Bar Mitzvah | Redmond-Woodinville, WA
Inglewood Golf Club, Kenmore, WA
Bar mitzvah services have a story that unfolds: aliyahs & blessings & prayers, haftorah, words from the parents & a closing. Jacob’s bar mitzvah at Congregation Kol Ami in the Redmond-Woodinville area was warm & joyful. His family was especially loving & connected, so there were many smiles & a few tears. Jacob easily carried the Torah through the congregation. The candy toss for the children brought out a mad dash to scoop it up, which is always hilarious. Later at the Inglewood Golf Club, in Kenmore, we were informed that the power was out for the evening party. As in, completely out for the entire evening. What to do? A large party, four hours of fun, food, dancing, toasts & a full schedule of images!
My photography team was completely prepared, since our equipment (and backup equipment) is battery-powered. We had a quick meeting to assess our options & to wisely use the remaining sunlight where possible. Two generators were brought onsite to power the food prep & entertainment equipment. Candles were installed so that guests could find their way safely around the facility. And the games began! Guests built their own meal from a taco bar, a stir-fry bar, or a sliders bar, with plenty of sweet treats for desserts, too. Kudos to Premier Entertainment with their colorful up-lighting which made for a festive atmosphere and helped illuminate the room. Congratulations to this wonderful family–
