Orcas Island Wedding

Let’s continue where we left off —- the day before the wedding, the bride, groom, and bridal party enjoyed the view from Moran State Park Constitution Point (check out our previous blog). The next day was the wedding day! Since it was a destination wedding — the guests enjoyed the downtown shops and restaurants on Orcas Island. I really recommend that you try a visit there because you will fall in love with walking around the downtown area. Special thanks to Hildebrand Photography who included me as part of their team! Our first image needs a short introduction — there’s an island that you can walk out to when the tide is low. From the bride’s getting ready room we could see adventurers heading out to cross the low waters. You know, roll up your pants and head into the water in the Eastsound waterfront cove.

Sunshine and vibrant colors were the choice for the wedding —- the bride’s dress reminded me of cascading petals and her bouquet included colorful sunflowers and blossoms.

The groom and his men spent some time preparing their attire and their boutonnieres.

The bride and groom chose to do their first look at the Labyrinth next to the Emmanuel Espicopal Church —- of course with their bridal party nearby!

I was so excited to help capture the wedding details at the Odd Fellows Hall. The bride and groom had done special woodworking signage and table settings —- a very special touch! As you entered the building, they welcomed guests with hand crafted signs. Also, each table had a woodworked piece of driftwood with the names of the many San Juan Islands.

Their reception was beautiful, and fun, and full of food, dancing, and good moments.
