Kol HaNeshama Bar Mitzvah
Bar Mitzvah Service | Kol HaNeshamah | West Seattle near Alki
Celebration | Anthony’s Homeport Shilshole Bay | Seattle, WA
Warmth & joy! This bar mitzvah was surrounded by family & friends at his wonderful service at West Seattle’s Kol HaNeshamah. Special touches abounded, like the fresh challah made by a family auntie who baked it on the East Coast, then brought it with her (it was delicious–really). Cool Vans tennis shoes with a Seattle Seahawks motif, hand painted by a close family friend & artist. Dancing through the aisles, holding hands with your neighbors, being led by the rabbi with a tambourine. Being showered with candy at the end of the service. Every teenager is unique — Jackson was poised, prepared, personable, with a great sense of humor & style.
The evening celebration at Anthony’s HomePort on Shilshole Bay–at the entrance to the Hiram Chittenden Locks in Ballard–looks out on the Olympic Mountains over the Puget Sound. Spring Seattle weather can be quite variable! but that week’s heavy rains gave way to a spectacularly sunny evening with a classic golden sunset over the water. Lots of dancing: the horah followed by rock & roll, with limbo for the teenagers & the adults! Congratulations to the family on this special occasion–an amazing day.
